Got her operational late this afternoon. I LOVE this 4x4 thing! Went bangin through the fields, drifts and such. All just before dark. Still more work to do, but everything works! Bad bead leak on one tire.... another minor setback. Man does she pull through snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those 37's are great.
What do ya think???

I wish that in some ways the world was still a simpler place but it isn`t, seems that our pollution levels have to be reduced.
I really is only a 3" lift. With the drive axle in there, it does bring it up a couple more than stock 2wd. Total height change is more like 5 1/2". Tries do rub a bit on the back of the fender, but the bushwacker cut-out flares will take care of that. They are Goodyear Wranglers 37-12.50-16.5 Military 'OZ'. Not exactly sure what the OZ is for, but hey...
They are standard issue Hummer tires. Kroy tire in Winnipeg sells them. Between $125 and 140 each.
Sherm, the only story, is that I was planning on doing my intercooler install and decided to wait until the drive axle was in. Now I'm going to wait until it's warmer.
I'm hoping to lift the back on Monday or Tuesday. Just a shackle flip. Nothing major like the front. That's supposed to give me between 4 and 5" back there. That should even things out a bit. Notice I didn't show more than half the truck. I think I may have to shorten the front drive shaft a bit more. I was a bit tight going in and I really don't want to break anything.
Thanks guys. And Sherm's right. Get out there and do your part for global warming! I stoked up my coal furnace again this morning hoping to bring a warmer climate, didn't work. -38 this morning..
