Well, I got a bit more work done on her this afternoon. Picked up some shocks, new brake line, rear wheel cylinder, and u-joint. If I can get the one tire back on the bead and the driveshaft shortened, I'll be back in business. Still working on the shackle flip. Hoping to get it done tomorrow. I'll keep you updated.
Spent more time under the ol' girl today. Got the drive shaft shortened and tire back on bead. Still trying to get the spring pivot bolts out of the bushings. Man, what a pain. Got one out, the other is almost half way out. Got started putting one of the new mounts on. I guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow now. Getting the boy to put the bumper back on. Then, aim the headlights and put the grill back on. Fingers crossed.......
Hey Dave, what kind of process did you have to go through, to shorten the driveshaft? Did you have to take it somewhere? What was the cost if you did, if you dont mind me asking?
Got a welder buddy down the road that does great work. Charged me $20 cash. This time he re-enforced it. He said something about "I'm pretty sure I know what you're going to do with this truck, so I thought I should build it up a bit" I wonder what he meant by that?????
I'll be heading out side shortly to get back at it. And yes, my fingers have thawed out.
