MAGNETIC INLINE TRANSMISSION FILTER LEAKING,AGAIN?
Does anybody else have trouble keeping their magnetic inline transmission filter(2001, 7.3,4R100 4-speed Auto Replacement(Rebuilt???) Transmission 100,000+mi of use) from leaking periodically? Transmission was last serviced 10,000mi ago at a Ford dealership and is serviced at Ford recommended intervals. Transmission shifts very well when under heavy loads. Also, does everybody else have trouble getting the technicians to remember to remove the inline filter when flushing and then replace with new unit, they have forgotten every time and I even have a decal under the hood!!????<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Thanks for the help I am sure to get. <o></o>

You should really come down and visit us in the 99 - 03 7.3 diesel section. Lot's of good info down there about your truck and we'll take good care of you. Scroll further down the main forum listing and you'll find it.
The reason no one else has this problem is we all do the tranny flush ourself. Here's the instructions Changing ATF Fluid in a E4OD and 4R100 transmission .: Articles
Odds are they're either trying to flush from the inline filter location, you've got a small crack in the hose, or they just aren't tightening the clamp up enough.
