Anyone know where to find the Ford dash repair kit for the bracket on the right side that likes to break? I've been searching the web for a few days and no luck. My ford dealer says it's discontinued. They also discontinued my fuel filter so they aren't much of a Ford dealer in my opinion!
I broke that bracket a couple months ago while trying to herd my cows back home with the truck. 50 mph across the pasture and getting airborne on the irrigation channels is NOT a good idea in an F350! It sure was fun in the Jeep when I still had it though!
i don't think they have it anymore. i'm actually not sure which bracket your talking about, but if the bracket can be taken out and replaced then i have one in my F150 if you want it come take it out and its all yours. haha
It's the commonly broken one in the lower right corner of the dash by the door frame. Ford had a repair kit for them but now they are on ebay and some company had a bunch too. Just can't find one now.
It's plastic junk that breaks and it's a metal bracket that rivets on to fix it.
oh. maybe i will take a look at my F150 parts truck and see if it every had that done to it. if it has been done to it you could always take a grinder to the rivets to get it out and then get ya some more rivets.
That would be great. It's been done to LOT of these trucks. I must have done a hundred of them at the first Ford dealer I worked at. It's a problem on all the OBS trucks, Bronco, F150, 250 and 350.
I made one for my F250 that held up really well. I just made it out of a metal bar that I think I twisted to allow it to bolt up. If you want, I'll take a few pictures of it and post them.
