I have a '77 F150 4X4 with the 400M, mildly built and c6 transmission. I was wondering what afermarket ignition would be the best for this truck, it doesn't see offroading anymore unless it's called out for a rescue mission. It's mostly a daily driver used for commuting and red light racing around my neighborhood. I've read many messages regarding the MSD setups and was wondering how noticable the difference was. Any testamonials would be appreciated.

For what it's worth, I run a Jacob's UltraTeam and have noticed a very good improvement in all around performance. It used to die out when we get snow 'round here(like the ignition is wet and until it warms up)but would not do it even when 35 and rainin', only when it snows! Anyway this mod has taken care of that problem for the most part, it may still be a little rough first start in the morning and vacuum will be down at idle, but it don't quit like it use to. I really don't think you can go wrong with any good aftermarket system, and I've also noted that these folks here like the MSD's alot. No experience with these myself though. Chuck P.
