about to order my intake.... FINNALLY!
wanted to ask some last minute questions, should i go with the Offenhauser DP or the C for better performance? prolly gonna just save my pennies up for the Holley 390 or the Autolite/motorcraft 4100 with the 1.08 Venturi as a carb. no Cam for now (perhaps this summer) and headers by Hooker will be installed when the intake is. was told dual plane/port is better but thought i would double check with the experts

Reason: forgot to say Offenhauser!
the DP is what you're going to want. don't fight the low RPM torque inherent to the 300, go with the DP to help build that torque down low. you'll feel boggy on the bottom end with a C manifold. just my .02
The C does have the advantage of using a different carb orientation than the DP plus one can use a 2v carb if so desired. Some have even used a divider plate in the C to halve what the engine sees...front three cylinders "see"a primary and secondary and the back three "see" the other primary and secondary...something like a dual plane manifold.
Hey, Bro. Good 2 C U again. All ways w/the good breathin/fuel advice.
Does this suggestion aslo go for the steep incline driving =0 ? It must I'd immagine.
I used the c, was able to use the stock throttle cable. port, polish, and gasket match the head. don't worry about low end torque, when you powerbrake it, and the secondarys open, you can burn the tires until the smoke in the air is too thick to see through.
