I have the dual tank switch on the dash of my 97 F-250. I only have the rear tank installed on the truck because of it being a prerunner. My question is, if there is a way to eliminate that switch on the dash and just solder the wires together for the rear tank and put a blank panel on the dash? If so, which wires need to be soldered together. Anyone have a diagram?
Go to a salvage yard and get the jumper plug from a one tank truck.
Unplug your switch plug this jumper in its place.
You may be able to get the jumper at a Ford dealer.
Discontinued from Ford. Im guessing that this jumper is integrated onto the back of the blank bezel plate that replaces the switch? Does the jumper only have 2 prongs on it? How do you differentiate between the front and rear take wires on the jumper?
If you get the jumper it will only plug in one way and it has more than four prongs on it.
This jumper will jump the Yellow wire with a white stripe to the Yellow wire with a light blue stripe and jump the Red wire with a yellow stripe to the Brown wire with a white stripe.
