F150 rear fuel pump is not working

I have a 1995 Ford F150 with 5.8l and dual fuel tanks .The previous owner replaced both fuel pumps and gas tanks. Both fuel pumps workedbwhen i got it. In order for him to replace the pumps he spliced the wires together so i checked where they were splicedbfor anything they may have been disconnected. I also have tried the relayswitch and replaced the front-rear switch up front. When i replaced the tank selector switch the truck would start and run using the rear tank then i drove it around the parking lot put the dash back together and now the tank isnt getting any power again. Any ideas would be appriciated the front tank is still working to get me around but would really like to use both tanks. A wiring diagram with labeoed colors would be appriciated.

That is true.
Each tank has its own high pressure fuel pump inside the FDM that is inside each fuel tank.

There is absolutely no power going to the back tank the fuel gauge isn't even reading but there is only one relay switch for the fuel pumps. I put the truck in the run position and tested the wires with a test light and no power to any of them. So frustrating.

The fuel pump on command is only present for a few seconds when turning the key from Off to Run. In order to keep the Fuel Pump relay engaged to troubleshoot this problem is placing a jumper between Pins 2 and 6 on the Data Link connector and leave the key in the Run position.

So there is power going too the pump. Guess its time for another new one. The one that is in there is only two years old and its hard to believe that it is already bad after all the original one lasted 16 years. Don't make them like they use to. appreciate the help when I get the new pump in ill let you guys know how its doing. Appreciate all the help again.
