Heat and A/C Problem

Hey guys, for a while now my truck has been just allowing the blower motor to come on in the highest and second to highest stage. When I switch it to low and the one directly above low it shuts off it seems like. I cannot here the blower motor running. Also sometimes if I have the heat and A/C on for a while the setting above the lowest will work. Please let me know what this is because its kind of annoying. Thanks.

Sounds like a blower motor resistor pack problem. Located above the passenger foot well and held into the duct with two screws. Pull it out and put in a new one. Good luck!

yep, lay upside down on the passenger side floor and look up toward the glove box. Look for a 4 wire plug that goes to a small box about the size of a big isce cube, screwed to the air duct.. Remove it, one of the resistors is burn out on the back side.

Thanks so much guys I took it out today and it was rusted and the connections were broken off. I replaced it and it works great now. Thanks.
