You are supposed to have metal film resistors on them.
Using cheepo's is just asking for disaster. Using a 1/4 or a 1/2 watt over the 1/8th watt will give you more longevity on them as well.
Your changing around the voltage in the system with a resistor. You want it to be right, otherwise your creating excess heat, which will kill the resistor.
Anybody want to help me find an IDM. I checked all the wrecking yards around here and they were all either bought by one guy, or want 200+ bucks for one. I thought they would be like around 50 bucks?
i see no need for it.before i did the mod, i researched it for as many pic as i could find, and they almost always used cheap resistors. just test them first to make sure they are a true 75k. you may need to put two in line, i did.
