So to celebrate, I treated her (and me) to an oil change, an old school leather steering wheel cover, and a document wallet to hold her new inspection certificate.
Turns out, the oil change was a good idea. The pan had a cross threaded drain plug hole that had been plugged with an oversized tight threaded bolt which made a routine oil change a mechanics nightmare. The guy wound up putting in a "piggy back" drain plug so it's sealed up now and I can change the oil myself in the future.
Oh, and we got us a pint of BG seal conditioner for that rear seal drip.
Sounds like you were having way to much fun. Way to go on the inspection passing , that can be a real pain. Was this on Ol Rusty? We're still waiting on pics
Yes I can. Where I used to live they wouldn't pass my vehic because the heat tube from the exaust manifold to the air cleaner was gone. I went over to the parts house and bought a universal tube, put it on and went back. Passed

Mine's missing too..I've been looking for the shroud that bolts onto the right manifold. So far, the junkyard engines are missing it. Same for the rad fan shroud...haven't found one yet.
I've discovered I really like searching junkyards. I could spend all day there.
