On the subject of scrap iron.
I have an iron block with an aluminum head that belonged to a snow-thrower.
I fished it out of the vernal creek that runs through my property.
Both that block and the junk wheelbarrow I put it in will be going to the scrap heap at the transfer station.
Once I get my truck back from the dealership.

I stopped at my local Ford dealership today and my van is still parked out back with its original wheels still on it.
I was told by the service writer that my short list was done, that being getting the trailer wiring harness to work and the pyrometer boss welded in (its been so long I've forgotten what else was on that lists).
The service writer didn't know if either of the differentials, and the rear axles had been done.
I'm hoping that the drive line has been done and its just a matter of the body shop getting my van into their building and modding to accommodate the over sized tires.
So I sent a hate-mail to the service manager.
