Rear wiper issues?

I just put a new blade on the rear wiper arm and still have the same issue. The arm is only hitting about 30% of the rear wiper area. I am now thinking at some point the arm was bent. I am wondering if it could be just a simple spring adj. or bending the arm down at a tighter angle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would pop the arm off and increase the spring tension.

How did that work for u? I am having the same issue.

Is the spring tension adjustable or do I need to find a different spring.

thanks

Maybe spray some WD40 on the pin pivot on the arm? I had this problem on my 05 due to dirt and crap landing on it while driving because it is in a low pressure area of the truck. Sprayed it with WD40 and worked the arm in and out from the door and it seemed to free it up and works great. I will try to remember to do this a few times a year in the future. Ian.

There was a clip that attached the arm and spring that i popped off and put in the vice and crimped the ends towards one another. this helped to tighten the tension on the spring and pull the blade into the window with no adverse effects on the motor. I don't have the dirty spot on the rear window anymore. sorry it took so long to reply. thanks for the help guys.
