I've searched on this site, on the internet, and on AllDatadiy, and I can't find an exact location for the DLC on my 1997 F350. I've climbed all over under the dash on the driver and passenger side. I checked under the hood and I'm not sure if I found it or not (on the driver side rear mounted to the fender).

I just got a equus 160 reader and the dlc connector doesn't match it, but it might be because of the age of the truck.

any information would be appreciated, I'm lost!!!

 

If you are talking about a code reader, the plug is under the hood next to the drivers side hood hinge..

Also your 97 350 is OBDI not OBDII... They went OBDII AFTER the body style change...

I didn't take the time to look up your code reader but I am guessing you have an OBDII reader..

 

Yeah that code reader is no good, you need one like this..

thanks for the help guys, that link is awesome!! Not sure how I created 2 threads, I use a cell phone air card for internet connection and I think it's acting up.
