Exclamation slave cylinder? :(

how do I change one ? and does this sound like the problem .. t19 goes into gear fine and drives down the road no problem just as always and then in 4th and sometimes 3rd it will grind likes its comin out of gear but if you pump the clutch it goes away for about 30 seconds to a minute and comes right back I need a quick answer so i can run and get the part and call my "pit crew" and get this done tonight

If I'm understanding right, the transmission shifts right but it makes a noise after you have it in gear. If this is the case your slave cylinder is not your problem. I would lean more to a bearing or bushing in the transmission.
The slave cylinder is mounted on the drivers side on the bell housing, so you don't have to pull the transmission to change it.

You have a worn bushing or bearing. I have an old T18 in amy 79 wrecker that does that in granny gear. If I clutch it and put it back all the way in gear it will be quite but if I don't it will start making noise and before long it will jump out of gear.

No it is inside the tranny. Another thought is how much slop is in your shifter it could be worn ball on the end of shifter or worn forks not letting it go all the way in gear.

How hard do you have to push the clutch pedal?

If you can just push the pedal down an inch, then it may be the throw out bearing, throw out bearing clips, or throw out bearing arm clip.

Did you replace the thow out bearing when you swapped trannies?

When mine was acting up, whining sound in a couple gears, if I remember right it was a bushing on the counter shaft.

3 dollar part, 300 to drop the trannie/transfer, tear the tranny down, install the bushing, put everything back together.

Winter job, no place inside to do it.
Off to the driveline shop and pay to have it done.

My ZF5 does that to, only in reverse though, that's why everytime I back up I have to keep my hand on the shifter to keep it from grinding out of gear.

I get all kinds of whinning in gears and idling in neutral, I think it's my throw out bearing that's going. But for now I don't care anymore, onces the truck will be in pieces, the transmission is going for a full rebuilt.

I kinda have the same problem with my truck(1988 F-250 2wd 5 speed we have bled the system (about one gallon) and then a friend said lift the front end up so we did and that got more air out but it just dont work and then my dad had a bright idea so we replaced the o rings that helped it will hold 3/8 (that is how far the fork is moved) for a min or more if I could hold it longer so is that right or is some thing else going on? thanks
