I've seen a lot of the so-called 1965/66 F100/250 352 cables on ebay, the only problem: ALL have been the wrong length.
1965/66: E100 240 I-6 & F100/250 2WD & 4WD 240 & 300 I-6: There are NINE different cables. Usually the sellers list one of these, claim it fits '65/66 F100/250 352.
However, in this case...According to the Ford part number this seller listed, this IS the correct cable.
C5TZ9A758AH .. Accelerator Cable / 20" long / Obsolete / REPRODUCED by this seller.
My cable seems sticky Dose it just need grease or dose the cable need to be replaced. It seems like it is too long has to make a fairly tight s to get through the firewall. Thanks for any input.

I would disconnect it from the carb give it a heavy dose of WD40 while working it back and forth many times (both ends) to loosen up crud, then re-connect it. It should work better.
You tell me why it wont fit a 67 or a 68??? I don't care about the part number, just tell me why it wont fit.
Because John, 1967/68's (1967/72 I-6's / 1967/78 V8's) did not use accelerator cables, they used linkage composed of adjustable & non adjustable rods.
The gas pedals are different, so you cannot attach cables to them.
There is a multi-levered bellcrank bolted onto the drivers side rear of the intake manifold that runs the whole show, as everything connects to it.
The bellcranks (there are several different types) have bushings in them. The bushings are not replaceble, so when these parts wear down and fall apart, the whole tamale has to be replaced.

My cable was sticking and I was always told not to oil that cable. so I took it out and put wd40 on it anyway and it froze, and I could not get to move at all. Thanks to Number I got one that cost 108.00. The one on Ebay looks correct. I have a 352 2wd auto and it is 20'' long. Those cables are not out there.

Betcha a bottle of good adult beverage, I can make one work. All of those parts are bolt on. The levers are a POS.

WD40 DID NOT cause that cable to freeze my friend, something else or some action that you did may have, but the WD40 didn't.

Well it work after I took it out, sticking a little, but when I put the wd40 to it, it frozed like super glue. It did have some broken strains on the cable. Also the nylon that went around the cable was broken.
The only thing I could figure was, the cable was worn and broke inside and when I put the 40 to it, it jammed.
Buy yourself one a these cables, then find a 1967/72 or 1973/78 truck to install it on.
If it works, I'll send you a bottle of Jim Beam, or a bottle of Johnny Walker Red...or if you prefer, Black.
'Course when one considers all the time and money spent, not to mention the labor to install one a these cables on a 1967 or later...
It prolly would be cheaper for you in the long run...to buy yourself a CASE of your fav-o-rite libation.
Bill, you might have a draw, because I just checked the link ands I aint spending $60.00 on something that I don't need.
You would be ahead not to under estimate my ability to make things work. I think I have an extra 66 pedal should I need it to make it work in the latter models.
