tag decode?
I've been reading for a while now and only have asked a few Q's. there is lots of good info on here.
Mainly looking to decode my 81 f-250 sc 4x4.
WB type-GVW body trans axle DSO ....
155 x261 DTM K 37 7G8 ....
I swapped the 351m/c6 out for a modded 300/t-19 i build for my 69 f-100, so i'm really looking to find out about the axle so i can get a locker for the rear. 3800# front/5300# rear. thanks ron..............

I can fill in the gaps...
WB Code: 155 = 155" wheelbase
Type-GVW Code: X261 = F-250, 4x4, Super Cab, GVW 8200
Body Code: DTM
D = Material and seat type = Knit and Vinyl Bench seat
T = Interior Color = Nutmeg
M = Cab and back of cab = Super Cab Styleside Pickup
Trans Code: K = C6 automatic
Axle Code = Dana 60, Capacity 5300, Ratio 3.54:1, non-locking
DSO = District Sales Office or Dealer Special Order = Check this number again, it should be a two digit number with no letters in the second space, followed by a DSO 5 or 7 digit number in the DSO box, if the truck was special ordered.
I can also decode the Paint code for you as well as the vin number...
