Rick
I appreciate the pic and instructions. Could not rep you.
I think I will make one out of a hand scrapper. Cut a Vee Knotch on the end on only one side.
I would make it like the tool, not just one side, cause you'll need to bend it like illustrated, and use it from both sides, sometimes the clips are stubborn.
If you use a putty knife, you'll have to bend it so you don't damage the trim when you insert it under the trim.
If you look at Rick's tool, its bent just after the handle.
Remember, you don't put it in and pry up. So, being able to go from both sides with the tool will be beneficial. like i said, some are stubborn and need to be influenced from the otherside.
Plus if you dont have the bend in the tool, you put pressure on the trim while trying to pop it, and you dont want that.
No I dont want to screw up the trim. I was going to put the bend in the putty knife. I said scrapper eariler but meant putty knife.
When I get it off and see what the issue is I will fix any rusting myself and then get a shop to install a new window. I could let the shop do the whole thing but I dont trust any glass shops to properly address rust. Been there before with a paint shop on my 91 F-150 with rusting running boards that were externally dressed but no inside rust was treated. So you know what happened in a couple of yrs.
I will post what I find.
