As for the volt gauge moving slow, until you rev the engine the alternator is not really making that much power.
Even then when you figure you had a 200 amp glow plug draw, a 300 amp starter draw and are now replacing that with a 100 amp alternator, it does take a little time to charge the batteries back up.
I would have to check a wiring diagram out to figure out the wire color on a 92.
I am making everything I am replacing with solder on terminals and insulated wire.
With insulated wire, the conductor is protected from the salt road spray we have here in the winter that does a job on the ground straps.
I don't think I have any of the flat metal OEM straps left on my truck, the salt ate them years ago.
Not sure what kind of terminal connections you mean and what gauge of wire are you using. I thought of using insulated wire but thought the insulation would become brittle over time. LOL International said they use welded on 2/0, thought that would be a little over kill for me. Thanks
