I believe they were motorcraft 2barrels, if I remember right they were special, tri-power, cabs. I know two of them, the front and rear I think, were different than the middle one. because those two didn't have a choke on them, I don't think they had Idle adjustments either. this is because, in normal driving the engine would run off the middle one only, the other two opened up only when the throttle was stomped. Like secondaries in a 4v carb.

Got a great little book here, called 'Ford High Performance Parts Identifier'. It says the carbs were all Holley 2bbls and even gives the original part numbers. Are you setting up a tri-power on your 390? The carbs were a 2300-C series.
