anyone here know if a 4bbl carb will fit on a stock 79 351M that has the stock manifold/2bbl carb?

 

with an adapter perhaps...

 

I wondered the same, just for a temp thing till I bought a new intake. Could u not just open up the intake via cut and die grinder to accept the 4 bbl without buying an adapter?? Just on the el'cheepo? Idk maybe just a waste of time.

 

I would not try to rebuild the manifold,most likely it will leak. Get an adapter,they are cheap or just change the manifold. No need to waste time ruining a good intake.

 

True enough, I'm just cheap and will not likely reuse or sell the stock intake.
