MY 2009 F350 V10 4/4 AUTO WITH 8600 KMS MAKES A WHINE WHEN ROLLING IN 4/4.IT WHINES WHEN YOU SPEED UP AND HOLDS THERE BUT WHEN YOU LET OFF THE GAS THEN IT REALLY STARTS TO WHINE.AT 60-100 KMS ITS REALLY NOTICEABLE.
IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THATS HAD THIS PROBLEM?

If I understand it right, in 2wd all is normal no noise. But when you put it in 4wd (4hi) and you are traveling at any speed you hear a bit of wine?
Are you hearing from the trans/transfer case area? If you are then is coming from engaging the front driveline and could be considered normal.
Just a thought though, I hope you are not engaging on dry pavement as the 4x4 system was not designed to operate on dry hard sufaces.
You could always get up under the truck and just check the fluid level in the T-Case.

is the whine from the transfer case, if it is you may have low fluid or some other type of issue with it, it may also do this if you drive it on hard dry surfaces, check the fluid level and add it necessary and you can drain and refill if you find any particles floating around inside of it, call the dealer and have them verify the issue/problem and it will be covered under the warranty.

IT HAPPENS IN 4/4 SO I THOUGHT IT MAY NEED TO BE BROCKEN IN.I DON T DRIVE ON DRY ROADS IN 4/4 BECAUSE ITS HARD ON IT.MY OTHER TRUCKS NEVER DID THIS-1975=1977-1979-1991-1992.I WAS THINKING IT MIGHT BE NORMAL FOR THE NEW TRUCKS.
