Ok so i just bought a 93 F-150 XLT back in Nov with 176,000 kms now 177 k lately there has been some sort of whining sound from the engine so today when i went to school it was the worst kind of like a whine and a annoying clunk im guessing its the belts or the fan and i thought its normal when its cold and wet cause my van's belt squeeks when cold or wet but after school it was quite warmer and still doing it and it seems to quiet down under acceleration and driving the sound is really hard to explain really loud whining clunky like something is ready to blow i checked it out and nothing seems to be wrong where the belts or fan is do i have a major problem has this happened to anyone im skeptical i hope this truck wont give me many problems cause it sure seemed to be in great shape all around (check gallery for pics) should i get this looked at right away too thanks for any help
Dustin. What are you studying in school? I know it's not english grammer because you're missing a ton of punctuation in that paragraph!!.
Don't be hatin'.. I'm just bustin your chops. It's very possible you have a bearing going south in the tensioner pulley, or the air pump if so equipped. Try removing the belt and spin the various pulleys by hand to feel for roughness or squeeling.. or a seized bearing.
K thanks for the information lol i know im taking english its complusory but i dont care how i write a paragraph well today it didnt do it at all so i dont know what the jiffy is going on
