Question 96 f150 won't start ...

Truck was running fine went into the store, came out to start it and the fuel pump wouldn't kick on.
I have replaced the relays and fuses along with the pump and filter.
I have read some articles about loose connections in the power distribution box, any ideas?
Thanks

Tried looking at the power distribution box, looks like a project.
Is the PDB a job for the shop?
The search for the answer continues.

Put a hand on both the fuel pump relay and the power relay.
Have someone turn on the key.
Do both relays click when the key is turned on and one second later does the fuel pump relay click again?
Let us know so we know where to have you look next.

Okay so I checked to see if the relays clicked and they didn't.
Neither one, I also pulled the fuel pump relay fuse and checked it. It was fine.
Thanks for the help.

Doesn't the power for those relays come from the fusible links on the starter relay? which in turn comes straight from the battery?

Does anything come on when you turn on the key, radio maybe?
Did you check fuse #22 and #17 in the engine compartment fuse box?

All power for the truck goes through one pair of fuse links in parallel but the truck would be without any power if the fuse links were bad.
