I think that my e-brake cable is way out of adjustment but I can not find the adjuster to take some of the slack out of the cable. Now that it is cold out it is a real pain to have to shut the truck off to keep it from rolling away. I see where the two cables from the rear brakes come up and attach to the single cable going to the cab but I can't figure out how to adjust it.
Tighten the equalizer nut to tighten them.
This should only be done after you adjusted the rear brakes up. If you have a bound up auto adjuster or broken adjuster cable inside the brake drum, you will wear your shoes and they'll have excessive travel giving you a long pedal and loose parking brake.
