First post to this fourm - i have a 65 f-100 short bed, trying to put e-brake cable on. to my surprise, no flange on brake pad to attach E-brake cable too.
local parts store don't carry for that year. where can i get brake pads with the E-brake flange attached. its a 9" drum
If you are referring to the rear drum brakes they use a shoe instead of a pad. Disc brakes use pads and drum brakes use shoes.
Inside of the rear drums should be the
Parking Brake Operating Lever. It is shown as 2A637-R.H./2A638-L.H. in this picture. This is what the end of the parking brake cable connects to in order to operate the internal mechanism.
Pulling the cable pulls the bottom of 2A637, which forces shoe 2285 against the drum. Simultaneously, link 2A642 is forced against shoe 2284 forcing it against the other side of the drum.

You sure this is an F100? No F100 has a 9" drum. 1961/67 F100 2WD's have 11" x 1 3/4" rear brakes.
