Ok - not sure that makes sense to me. Can you explain? I'm tracking a warm engine stalling condition and am working through my process of elimination as methodically as I can at this point.

If it is the sensor I am thinking of, all it does is move the oil pressure needle to the middle when it sees 3-5 psi or more of oil pressure. So, what good is it? It is an idiot light to tell you that you have 3-5 psi of oil pressure. Not enough to keep the truck running.
Just an FYI. On the back of the HPOP reservoir is the EOT (engine oil temp) sensor. Someone did post once that by changing that sensor he had cured either a warm engine stall problem or a warm engine lack of power problem (as in limp mode). Can't remember which. Haven't been able to find the post. Don't know if the PCM uses any type of default if that sensor is unplugged or if reading is too hot will it go into limp mode or stall. Worth considering when all else leads you nowhere.
