Thanks FTE!

I just wanted to say thanks, I dont post on here much, but I do read this forum.

I had a been getting less boost than normal for about six months, went through and checked everything for boost leaks and there was none. Check the play in the shaft as you guys mentioned and there was play where the wheel had just started hitting the housing, no chipped fins but little marks where it was hitting. Then I had the phantom oil loss. 1 qt every 80 miles, none of the shops could tell me where it was going around here so I could fix it. I did the CCV mod, and checked compression still loosing oil. Then I read about injector O-rings. I bought the factory O-rings the Motorcraft glow plugs and went to work. I have been around cars for a while now, got a mustang I race, but never worked on diesels much. I searched the forums and got it all running. Got a rebuilt stock turbo, with the wicked wheel, and I got the blue fuel drain O-rings from Guzzle's website and NOW My Truck has its power back!!!! I have driven 500 miles and not lost 1 drop of oil! After I put the glow plugs In I got the Stan-Cor Relay and now I dont have to plug her in to fire up!

Thank You for all the info on here. My next mod will be the upgraded Housing for the Turbo and get rid of the Bully Dog Power Pup for the DP Tuner.

Sorry for the long post Thanks Guys!!!!!!!

Well I used to go to DFWstangs all the time, but I havent changed much on my car the last couple of years so I dont get on there much.

I have a 2002 Ford F-250 4 door 4x4. 7 inch lift with 35's on 18's. Thinking of doing 37's next time but I tow my camper and a car trailer so I dont know yet. Got the 6637, CCV, 3.5 inch down pipe 4 inch straight pipe, stancor relay, gauges, train horns/air tank set-up, firestone air bags, and bully dog power pup. Thats all on mods. I have been looking on here more will post more.

Kevin, look at getting rid of that 3.5" DP also and go to 4". It should help the engine breath better.

I heard that hurts low-end torque when towing?!?!?! I would rather not change my gears either I still avg 18-19 mpg on the hwy hand calculated and 15 back and forth to work at 65 mph. I didnt want the rpms higher with the gears and I still want to be able to take off with the camper. I thought the 4 inch would help once it gets above 2k rpm's but hurt its power down low.

The local North Texas group has get-togethers every now & then -- you ought to check us out. North Texas Power Stroke Association - Index

I'm a member there, and have a lot of fun with the local fellas... If you ever need a hand with something drop a PM. There are a few of us around DFW that will gladly help out. Not that you need it -- sounds like you have a pretty good handle on things!

I am still learning on the power stroke stuff, so help may be needed, so far I have figured everything out with the help from this site. Except when I first got my truck and my buddy got his 01 we each got lifts and did them in my drive way. We did his first and it took me 4 hours of trying to get the bolts out of the front leafs before I realized you take the front bumper off and bam the bolts are right there!

My next project is the left front hub is leaking vacuum. I put 2 new wheel bearing assymblies in with new yellow O-rings. The Left lock to auto hub will not turn and it sounds like air is leaking out the seal in it when I blow air into it. But that will be a project for next week this truck wore me out this weekend. I work on cars at my shop for a living and then going home and working on my truck killed me. But if you have any suggestions on the best way, to rebuild it or just buy a new one. And if I buy a new one should I get a new one for the other side?

I will check out that site too. Thanks for the offer!

So about where in DFW are you? I'm in Lewisville...

Oh, and about the down-pipe... 4" won't hurt you at all. It should open it up nicely and drop the EGTs.
