Hi Guys, Im looking at Autozones add(on this site) about the scangauge 2 unit. Im considering getting it for my 07 F-150XL with the 4.2 Automatic. While Im all for OEM equipment,it looks like I could use it for economy,and various other running parameters....Question here is...does it plug into the OBDII port? or otherwise whats involved in hooking this up?

I purchased a ScanGauge II this past summer and installed it on my 06 F150 5.4. I pull a travel trailer and I wanted to be able to watch my transmission temperature while pulling. I was very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone. Yes, it installs into the port under the dash below the steering wheel. (OBDII port?) The unit itself fits nicely on top of the steering column, they even provide velcro strips to do so, or any where else you prefer. This ScanGauge II tells many functions and JC Whitney was the best price that I could find. Get it !!

Just found this on here today. Watched too many of the teams I picked in my pool loose yesterday. I also installed it in my '07 for the same reason as jlsdcen2. It does everthing as advertised. I'm happy with it.
