Hi All,
I have a 77 F-150 4X4. I've had the steering gear rebuilt, and have replaced most of the steering linkage and wheel bearings. My steering still has more slop than I think it should. I think this is because of the crappy rag joint union at the gear. Anyone know if the Borgeson shaft replaces this with a U-joint? Is there a picture of this shaft anywhere? I was also curious about a vibration reducer enhancement that they list on their web page to reduce transmitted vibrations to the wheel... Where is this available and does it work well?
i installed a flaming river shaft in my bronco.i believe it is the same design as borgeson.it replaced everything between the column and box.it came with two billet joints and a dd piece of steel that required cutting to the proper length.it cost about 220 dollars and made a big difference in the feel for steering.i strongly recomend one of these for anybody with a body lift on there truck.my rag joint broke and i lost steering because the safety didn't work due to the angle from the body lift!
