Another quiet Friday nite....

All is quiet in our sleepy chapter forum.
What`s everyone up to this weekend? Looks like the weather is going to be pretty good.

You know why it's quiet, all the guys are running around doing their xmas shopping, or being dragged out to the malls, or they are fighting with the tree lights, that "worked great last year"!

I'm sitting here watching the weather network on tv, woopee! Most of my friends are leaving for "home", between tomorrow and Wednesday. so it's going to be very quiet till about the 4th or 5th of Jan.

I think Imight have an inkling to what the elec problem is or at least where to start looking. I think it's in the turn signals somewhere. Yesterday I started the truck to warm it up a bit, then 20 mins later when I went back out, the R signal was flashing, but the switch had not been turned. Matter of fact, I couldn't get it to turn off! I turned the lever on, off, turned the L on and off, nothing, then I turned on the Hazard lights and when I turned them off, the R signal stopped. Hmmmmm .

So I think that's what I will be up to tomorrow. Need to get it fixed while temps are warm enough.

Morris,do you have your tree up yet, or do you get the real one, and leave it till this weekend?

Well, you are further ahead than I. Don't think I will bother this year. I have 2 "fake" trees, one is 7 1/2ft and is fabulous, the other is about 3 ft, and pretty nice too, but just a lot of fussing and I will be the only one here, so not too worried about it Isure miss the realoneswe usedto have back home. My daughter and I would spend a full day looking for just the "right one", and then when we put it up, we would turn it this way and that finding just the "perfect side" to face into the living room, lol. Every year, we would declare that "this is the best tree ever".

Do you have outside lights up too, so Santa can find you?

Lets see if I can win the 'most boring' award - we are doing work in the shop until the 23rd, hauling grain, moving some grain around in the yard, keeping an eye on the cows, drinking a few whiskeys in the eveinings, and a few coffee/baileys blends in the mornings!

I was thinking that I might not bother with my tree either but in the end I didn`t have a choice. That maybe a good thing!
I was looking for just the right set of blue outside lights but I haven`t found them yet so my old stand by green and the few blue I have will have to do.
