YEP! as i pulled it out, the regulator, the graphite dudes (forget what they call them) sprung out of their chambers. so when i looked at it, i put it back together as i seen it, with the graphite sprung out of their locations. im going to go pull this bitch apart and see if we can get this done right tonight. im sure my neighbors are going to love me starting my new diesel at 11pm at night .... LOL hey man face it i could be having a keg party on a friday night so get over it! =p
well, i got it apart, and one of the graphite pieces with the copper cable is now snapped from i guess the previous reinstallation. guess its a wait till the a.m. now.
beleive it or not, i took the broken wire, shoved it behind the electrical terminal it came off of, and tightened the nut down on top of it. put the other one on and reinstalled it. drove it, works fine. no battery light and the volt gauge is needled right in the middle of the M on normal, does not move. yay!
well, the voltage meter is back to bouncing at idle a bit. when im driving down the road it doesnt move at all and stays on the right of the M in normal now, when before it was bouncing and the battery light would flash. NOW it only bounces when it idles, BUT the other night though when i came home, after turning my lights off and idling, not only was the needle bouncing abit the battery light started flashing again, but this scenario is the only time ive seen the battery light flashing, what the hell is going on? anyone had issues like this or should i not worry about it until im dead along side the road? lol.
