painting engine compartment
Has anyone painted the inside of the engine compartment? What did the factory apply to keep it from rusting in there? I was thinking about primering over the inner fender wells and trying to paint it to match my truck.

painting engine compartment
i have a 77 f100. i replaced my battery box with one i got from the salvage yard. it was better than the one i had but still needed a lot of work. i had to patch a couple of small holes. i used liquid steel. i sanded forever, primed it and painted it with rust o lium. the blue color is a pretty close match. sure wish i had a enclosed sand blast cabinet.
