I was looking to buy 1969 F100 that came to NY from California. Everything looked good, sounded good, and seemed to run well, except there was some weird safety orange spray paint throughout the engine compartment as well as "2 M's" sprayed on the underside of the hood. Does anyone have any idea what this might mean? would it deter you from buying it?
May be those were replacement parts from a junk yard, as many tag them with orange spray paint for ID them for a 30 day return policy like Pick n Pull does.
Ask the owner!
Orich
2nd the junk yard markings.
Eric, where are you located in NY? There are a few around here (N of Ithaca) going through 67-72 trucks.
You're also welcome to join the NY Chapter. Tell Neil (AKA tiny1) that I sent you so I can get my commission.....
I'm from the Syracuse Area, and thank you. Looking for a 63-74 f100
To work on or to drive? I know of a couple of projects..
Or a driver, I know a guy who might sell his 78 F150, another with a 64(?) and another with a 65(if not sold yet..that's a 3/4 ton)
