One piece front clip removal advice...in there somewhere, 14 bolts and wala.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...then-some.html

Here is what this guy used.

I used Rustoleum Industrial Aluminum spray paint, comes in a 33% more can. Used less than half can to do inner fenders for around $12 a can, the primer is about $8. It dries really fast, goes on thick, and never gets runs. I used Rustoleum Industrial spray paint for everything. I have painted all kinds of things like the fire walls on a 68 cougar xr7, 1956 ford, 1955 ford Crown Victoria, numerous parts, and a whole van for a friend.

It goes on really good with one coat, lots of coverage, 2nd coat has to be within an hour, or after 48 or something, I just do 1 coat. I tried other spray paint, but this is my favorite, for a rattle can job anyways. It's enamel, so it takes long time to cure. It does dull, and in a year I do expect to see rust coming out again, from Acklands Grainger.

My 70's FE... pardon the wiring. She's very close to firing up for the first time in two years. Inner fenders are Rustoleum semi-gloss black engine enamel. The air cleaner is a 14-inch blue base repro with an Edelbrock lid. It'll be replaced with Ford flat top very soon.

The starting point with the engine undressed:

Here's mine. Not quite done yet but getting close. Still need to wrap all the wires, secure hoses better, etc.

Here's what it looked like when I got it:

I sprayed the firewall with single stage acrylic enamel body color and had the core support and inner fender wells powder coated semi gloss black. What's nice about powder coating is they sand blast them down before they coat them and it last forever.

Started with this

Turbohunter, your inner fenders are what my inner fenders hope to be when they grow up Honestly those are some of the best looking inner fenders. The best mine will get is hammerite.

Anyway, without further adieu...heres mine

little etching primer

What have I got myself into??!!

If its not broke fix it til you are right?
If I remember I post back when Im finished up with this round.

What radiator do you have there DMC? I imagine its quite a bit lighter than mine. My radiator core is about 4 inches wider than the opening is, its a hefty piece. Which reminds me I think I'd like to weigh a few things.

Silver Hammerite paint on the fender wells, I just scrubbed them down with scotch brite and laquer thinner. 6" tall air filter with a prefilter. I still need to come back and clean up the wiring.
