Which programmer
My brother has a 2007 with the 5.4. He wants some more giddy-up and was asking about CAI's. I told him a programmer was the best way to go. What are the main differences between the Edge and the Gryphon? Also what is the going price these days? The only mod he has so far is a K&N.

I've always liked the SCT tuners for their many controllable parameters and wide range of adjustability. I've used them exclusively on other Ford vehicles and have yet to be disappointed. I’ll more than likely use an XCal 3 when it comes time to start playing with my current FX4.

Basically a Gryphon is a custom tunable modified version of the Edge. I've got the Gryphon and it's been great so far. If going with custom tuning, I think you're best bet it to talk with as many folks as possible, as well as the reputable tuners and go with the one that seems to work best for you.
Troyer, VMP and PHP are all great choices.

Talk to mike from 5 star tunning. He hooked me up with a x3 and its amazing. He set me up with custom tunes. 87 economy 91 performance and 91 tow. All have woke the truck up alot. His customer service is also the best I have ever delt with. Give him a call or email.
