4.6L problems

i have a 98 f150 with the 4.6L. it blew up and i'm trying to rebuild another one to put in it but everytime i get o number 3 and 7 sometime 2 and 6 i try to spin the motor to finish putting the rest in the motor locks up solid. any ideas? i've tried everything had the rods honed even torquing them down to 30. please help thanks

i haven't put the motor together all the way so timing is not an issue. i'm just putting the rods on the crank making a short block.

Are you sure you have the correct chankshaft?

Too much "throw" will cause this.

Can you determine where the interference is?

its all the same parts that came in the motor i just tore it down to refresh all new bearings and bolts, rings gaskets the works. and going back together its doing this.
