I wanna put the 460 crate motor that ford makes into my 97 f150 with the 4.6L . will the tranny bolts line up??? or will i have to get a new tranny also?

Like Dave said...nothing will bolt up. You will need to make your own motor mounts, you'll need a new transmission, then you'll have to make new transmission mounts and crossmembers. Same thing for your transfer case if you have 4WD. Then, there's the wiring problem that would take several IT guys months to figure out.
Yeah to go along with what everyone else said, many frame mods will have to be made to fit the 460 in. the tranny won't fit, and like the other guys said the wiring is a trip. it's a good idea, solid motor.
