Not all at the same price, I'll bet. We have any power level we choose for the same price. How about John's warranty? As long as the BTS one?
The price is different for each level, the warranty is 3 years or 50K. So not as good as BTS, but the way everyone talks about John Woods trannies the warranty should not come into play. Also after talking with him I am sure he would do right by his customers. As far as the higher level trans, I dont need one rated that high so the $3400 is cheaper for me. If your going to race your truck or use it exclusivly for towing heavy loads, (work truck) then you may want to look into the higher levels. Mine is a daily driver and some towing of 8k trailer a few times a year, I dont need the stronger trans.

I understand that. However, the less limits I have, the better, I would think.
I have a BTS and I think it s good but NOTHING is that good where a warranty is meaningless. ANYTHING can break. Keep something long enough and it will break. Play with it and it will break sooner.
On another forum, DOCKBOY has had several transmissions replaced for nothing and they were OUTSIDE the written warranty. He is NOT an isolated case. Racing and car parts never go well. Does JW have that sort of warranty? IF so, I haven't heard much about it.
So people keep telling me. However personal experience has shown me that "too much" for today might be "too little" for tomorrow. See my sig. When I first bought the truck, I was only going to go for the VB and stop. No more. Think that went the way I planned? Back in 91, I bought a 245HP Firebird. Stock it was faster than what I had. I'd never go much further than that. Last time I checked it dynoed at 410 RWHP. So much for it is fast enough. I swore I wouldn't go more than headers and intake and chip too. The difference between the Towmaster and the BTS is $700. IMO, it is a cheap buy up when you consider the reputation of the warranty and that I can grow into it and not have limitations. I have spent too much money on "just enough" to know that it is always better to buy more than you need so you can grow into it.
Lead Hill is actually a beautiful little place. The lake is awesome with a nice little camp ground on it.
That sound like it would be fun. But I had to have my trans shipped because I did not think my truck could make the 600 mile trip to So Cal. SO a trip all the way to Arkansas woulb be crazy to even think about doing. But it does sound like a nice trip. Would like to visit some day.

I went to Branson, MO for a vacation. Somehow the wife got caught up in some events and I had some spare time. Well, since I had nothing better to do, I took a drive. Got lost and wound up in Lead Hill. Since I was there, I might as well ask someone for directions back. Since I was taking their time, it would be rude not to give them some business to compensate for their time. Since I happened to have had the BTS Big Oil system with me, it worked out. At Bob Ross said: There are no mistakes. Only happy accidents.
