Give Brian a call and he can set you up. But you may need to call edge to see if they can tune for the firmer shifts. I know DP tunes for the BTS-VB and Brian tunes to the DP-TUNER.

You dont want to stack anything with the DP tuner. Jody will pull the max out to your truck. Just totally ditch the Edge stuff. Hope this helps

Ben, there has been lots of these guys that ran the Edge, Banks, I ran the superchip, that changed to DP. I have not heard one single person that regretted the move. Most have said they have more power and better shifting trans after the change. Do a search on DP-TUNER and you will find what I just said in most threads.

Jamie is right, do not stack the chips. DP is more than what most chips are.

okay I am willing to get rid of my edge totally. BUT I have 2 questions 1 my PCM is currently programmed by the EDGE EVO but the programmer was stolen by some ***jack who obviously didnt know it was useless to him without returning my truck to stock so how do I return my pcm to stock in order to use the DP? Second ? is the attitude is my gauges so how will the new probes for real gauges go into the previously drilled holes (will the probes be the same size and go to same spots)?

Bad that happened to you. The dealer can reflash your PCM, I think Jody can do it too, but you would be without your truck for a while if you send it to DP. You should only have one hole in the up-pipe or manifold for the EGT gauge. What other holes do you have? The Pyro hole I would think is the same. Where did they tie in for the boost gauge, or did they use the MAP sensor to get the reading from the PCM?

Im not sure. I have never looked into it to see where they get the boost reading I will find out though. My truck will be fine without the probe in the exh for a while y I wait on gauges correct (same as exhaust leak)?

Where is the probe for the Pyro gauge. Is it on the up-pipe or in the exhaust manifold. If it is in the exhaust manifold then it is threaded. You just need to find a plug to screw in the place of the probe. if it is in the up-pipe then it probably is a clamp-on type. leave it in there and just leave the wire rolled up some where.

Look at the MAP sensor hose and see if there is a " T " spliced in it. If not it takes the reading off the PCM.

The pyro probe should be in the exhaust manifold and the boost is read from the map sensor. I had one on my old 2000.

I think that the DP will override the tuning on the pcm what ever it is. When you unplug the DP you will go back to the edge tunning. I dont think there is a need to reflash to stock. Could be wrong though.

I have an overboost annihilator and I removed the Air Intake Heater and put a cap there with a port drilled out for the boost.

If you could swing it. I would let Jody reflash your PCM. Jody will have to have the code of the PCM before he will make you a chip. The code that is on the PCM might not match the same program that the dealership will reflash it for. If you have Jody do there will be no worries about mismatching programs. Hope this helps. Oh yead dont forget to get the ITP Overboost Annilator.

This is correct. The DP chip will override whatever programming is currently flashed onto the PCM.
