new truck
welp, dad took the plunge. he is still battling it out with insurance, but due to the weather he really needs a new farm truck.
he placed an order for a 2009 f250 xl ext cab long bed 4x4 auto 5.4. silver in color, trailor brakes in dash. upgraded springs.
he got the dealerships into a battle and made the deal for 25k.
he is pretty excited, he has never owned a new truck. the newest one he has ever gotten was a 76 f150 in high school with 50k

he is hoping to get it end of next week. the dealer found one right after they placed the order and is going to get it instead, they knocked 2k off for it, taking it from 27 to 25
i thought he got a pretty good deal. esp for just calling, not even going in person

here are pics of the truck. dad picked it up last night, and he put it right to work.
he called and ordered some parts for it. full bumper replacement grill guard, extra heavy w/o winch. nerf bars, bed liner, flip over trailor hitch.
then i need to wire up his exterior lights. he has a "go light" that mounts at the drivers rear corner of the cab off the bed and sits on a pole. this is controlled remotely and allows him to spot light cows at night without sticking his hand out the window. its REALLY handy for alot of things.
