Taking truck back for refund tomorrow!! YEAH!
Got the call from the dealership today. They have my refund check and I'm bringing back the big F150 Super Screwed 4x4 VIBRATRON.
The Customer Service Relationship manager at the dealership is so ticked off at Ford for not fixing this problem. I thanked him for his help resolving this issue and he said the battle with Ford over this problem is just beginning. He was glad that I was persistant with Ford and made them buy the truck back. He said he had so many people with the same problem. He doesn't even want to inspect my truck like Ford said they would have too. He said just drop it off and we'll leave your check for you.
Will be nice to get my $25k cash back so I can go buy a safe vehicle.
Good luck to all with the problem. Doesn't look as if Ford has any intention on fixing a thing.

Well, out of all the 2004/2005 new F150's it is a very small amount that experience the problem. I guess I am fortunate enough to not be one. I totally LOVE my truck and it shows with the mods and respect the truck gets but to those who do have problems I hope they get resolved and/or you are fortunate as 1990Bronco is to be refunded.
I would not shy away from Ford just because one truck had problems - trust me the other brands have tons of problems as well. I know Dodge, Chevy and Nissan owners and they all HATE their individual trucks. I am not here to bash the others or take Ford's side but I am True Blue til the day The MAN above calls me home and I hope he allows me to take my truck with me. I just hope it's like a 2050 model year LOL!

We only hear about the ones who can post on this forum. I'm sure there are more than usual. The DSB was well aware of the issues even before my hearing. I won my case hands down and took my refund and bought an F250 Diesel. Put 1000 miles on it so far and love it! Better ride, no wobbles, shimmys, nibbles, rebounces, etc. Great truck! Since Ford did the right thing for me, even though I'm not happy with the F150, I'll stay with them.
I also believe it's not every truck, but it should be more rare to hear than it is. I too have had a dozen trucks and I've never seen anything like it.
I'm glad the year long nightmare is over. I'm once again excited about driving my truck and love sitting up higher in the F250.
Got the Lariat F250 Super Duty 6.0L Turbo Diesel. It rocks!
Now I will start enjoying this forum to look for mods and tips like I used to.
Thanks Ford!

I am good friends with the General Manager of my local dealer.
I forget exactly how many 2004 F150's he sold, but he told me he had about 5 granted a "Full Refund" by ford, and as many as 15-20 come in with differential problems (myself included). He has had numerous(about 15) ones come in with the vibration.
He did a quick scan of his computer system, and only 10 brand new F150's did not return to the dealership shop for any type of repair.
I am a owner of a FX4, and not bashing Ford, but I think they really tried to push this truck out WAY too fast to stay competetive. I much rather would have waited a year or two, to get some more of these bugs worked out.
Just today I called my dealer because I can feel my transmission slipping. He told me ironicly that this was the second one to come in today, with the same problem, with about the same milage... 12,500
I'll keep posted.

Question for all of you buyback guys.
I turned my truck in on January 21st. Received my check for my downpayment, payments, and taxes. Ford has still not paid off my other loan. I am now late on that loan. Prior to this, in 19 years of consumer credit, I never had a late payment.
Anyways the question is, how long did Ford take to pay off your loans? I am supposed to be getting a new F250 tomorrow. But with all of this open credit, I am getting a terrible % rate.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Geno87_69,
It took the dealership and Ford 2 1/2 months to get mine right. (That was after I actually got the truck) I swapped out to a 250 with cash back in my favor. I continued to make the same payment as before so there was no problem with the bank.
The substitution of collateral on the loan was what took so long. It was a final round of threats about legal action that finally "expedited" the process.
The whole DSB process was painfully slow, but I guess you already know that! On Ford's side it was mostly the "Dispute Resolution Specialist" I was dealing with that slowed it down the most. Everything was last minute of the last day before it even started and I had to constantly call and push it. You would think that after the year long fight that they would know how determined you are to get it done.
On the good side, it is over, the 05 250 is great, and I haven't been back to the dealership since the last oil change.
Now if I could only get tires and shocks............(sorry)!
Good luck to all that have the vibration. I don't know how many trucks have it, I only know mine did and that was enough.

I can understand your position. I traded an 03 F250 Diesel for my 04 SC F150. I also have a good vibration. Had it in one time and they installed a damper and balanced tires. Vibrations still there. This drives me nuts. Also truck also seems to vibrate everytime I hit a bump. Dealer told me that there is like a 12 step process to help cure this. I see no way this this can't be a problem with added miles on the truck. My old truck is still sitting on the lot. I tried to trade this back for the old one but the price thay shot me was not good. So now I am stuck. On a side note, I am also not thrilled about the 12-13 mpg this truck gets. I hope that I don't have to go through this forever. I am wishing right now that I would have kept my F250. These really are not that great of a truck. I am sure that people are going to flame me for this, but I am very dissapointed with this truck
