Seat swap

I have a '77 F-150 Custom. I want to swap out the seat for an early 90's bench. Will it bolt in or do I need to do some mods on the tracks. If this doesn't work, how late a seat will go in without any major mods. I'm limited on the amount of time the truck can be down as it is my daily driver.
Thanks in advance for any help ya'll can give me.

Seat swap

Bogborn, Use your sliders and all early 90 Ford bench seats will fit. I just installed a 93 bench in a 66. Mostly a bolt in deal.

I also have a 77 F150 Custom that I am swapping out seats in. I have researched this and have found that you can use the seats from almost any Ford truck up to 1998. All you need to do is save the seat slides that come with your old seat and bolt it to the new ones. Or you can get some really nice custom seats from some of the seat builders. Try checking out this site. http://www.sonnystruckseats.com
Hope this helps.

Seat swap

All true. I put a '93 bench in my '68. It took maybe an hour. The new seats slides were mounted on it with bolts that screwed into threaded inserts in the seat frame, and the old seat's slides were mounted on it with nuts and bolts thru holes in the seat frame. The nice part was that the holes and inserts all lined up so I just knocked out a bolt here and drilled out a threaded insert there and the old slides mounted right on the new seat. A nice quick Saturday morning job.
