This can't be good
Anyone out there know if you have to take cab off 06' 5.4 150 too remove engine? thanks in advance... I know you can get it out and in, but I was just wondering if was recommened to remove cab? Thanks again.

I did it 12 months ago on a 4'6 it took best part fo 12 hours to get it out, the front panel is cast alloy and the top bar does not seperate out, once you have got the transmission split away there is about half an inch clearence front and back but it had to come vertical straight up on a fork truck. The hardest bit was gettihg the eaxhaust headers off, possibly one of the crapest jobs I have done for the last 10 years. Good luck you will need time and lots of space.

They lifted the cab off of mine when they did it at the dealership. They only pulled it up about 6" or so. The dealership hated my truck and actually screwed it up. I got a different one from the GM for an even swap minus the bed liner, tinted windows and tags...
