Odyssey batteries... expensive but very good. You can get them from Summit Racing.

WOW. - 40. What kind of oil are you using at that temp? Why exactly are the Motorcrafts not cutting it? Are those temps requiring extended cranking the batteries can't handle?

A little off topic. What kind of fuel additive are you running in that kind of weather?

Huck,
Thought I would chime in and say I use schaeffers winter in the blue can. I was up in Grand Forks ND on the 8th and it was -30 with the wind chill. I did NOT plug it in and she started and ran fine. I use the red can n the summer. Every tank. Hijack over

And Truckee California is one of the two coldest places on average during the winter months in the Continental US.

I'm using the napa premiums. The Napa guy there said they are Interstate batteries and thus far I have not had a problem what so ever at starting up with the temps in the single digits and a wind chill factor of -5

Optima. Run them in my boat. Have left them in & hooked up all winter and they are fine come spring time. Killed many a "All Things Chinese Store" (Walmart) batteries.
