Emissions Help!!??!!

ok guys i have a 1987 f250 6.9 diesel, i need to know did this truck come with catalytic converters??? i bought it with a set of smokestacks and no cats and i have emissions testing coming up

and need to know if it will pass? thank you!!!

No it would not have any cats ever.

Yes an 87 had cat converters as far as i know unless there is some model of 87 that eludes me that ford put out without cats because the oem y pipes for 87 pickups in LMC truck all have cat converters

oh sorry my bad no i doubt a diesel had cats was trying to process a work order and answer the question at the same time.

ok, so im going to assume this thing didnt come with any cats (fingers crossed lol) they do emissions testing on stacks right? i wonder if my flappers at the top will have to come off?
