Is there a difference between a C6 transmission (of the same year) for an emission versus non emission truck, other than the modulator valve? I know the modulator valve will have two vacuum connections to account for both EGR and manifold vacuum, whereas the non-emission would have a single vacuum modulator valve.
But how about the transmission? Would the basic transmission be the same?
Yes, the basic transmission is the same. You can swap modulators too. They are interchangeable.
There are differences between various C6 models but this has to do with the application, not emissions.
Perfect. thanks. In another thread (but don't go there - some guys are real sensitive to that on this forum!), folks had talked about emission versus non emission C6 in the same year. I thought the modulator would be what covered you on the shift points, EGR or no EGR.

thanks Mike.
The reason people are sensitive to it is because people like you .. You started your third thread on the same subject/issue and the actual things that are of any value to the next person who might need the info are spread across 3 threads and will make it very difficult for them or anyone else to decipher .. Try to think about someone else besides your little self and the world you live in will become a better place ..
