I just got a set of warn premium hubs for my 94 f350 because the idiots at Ford forgot to put all the auto parts in on it's last brake job.
Anyway the warn premium manuals I got were missing parts too. It's a 38826 hub kit and is the right one. There was one small bag inside with 6 screws and a snap ring. The screws for the other side was missing.
In the directions it says I don't need the snap ring for the solid axle dana 60. Is that correct. Also it says to install a washer and another snap rind in before the hub body. There aren't any grooves for a snap ring. Isn't it just the hub body, big lock ring to hold it in then the cap with the **** on it for the dana 60?
The parts store is getting another set in for the other screws but I need to know if anything else is missing. Right now I'm running with 4 screws on one side and three on the other till it comes in. Hope they stay on.
It had the two big lockrings that go in the hub to hold the hub body in. It says in the instructions that the only time you need the conversion kit for the bearing locknuts is when you are converting from a 3 screw auto hub. Mine were the big 5 screw 1 ton hubs so no conversion kit was needed. I'm sure ticked about the mising screws though.
I called yesterday to make sure they had the hubs in stock and the kid told me they had 30 of them. He also said it was 217 dollars. I get my neighbor to take me over on icy roads and they don't have any in stock and are a little over 300 dollars.
I wasn't happy and they overnighted them and came down on the price. Today this mess with missing parts. I just can't win this week.
