Most of the captain chairs are going to be on King Ranches, as it was the only configuration.
Thanks, I didn't know that. Since I'm only interested in a Supercab I wonder what the odds are in finding one with captain's chairs? My '04 Supercab is an XLT.
My '07 Supercab XLT has captains chairs. Wanted them specifically. Cloth might be a little easier to find in an XLT than leather; you'll have a HARD time finding them in leather.

And here I thought I was the only wierd one that way...
Autotrader.com shows 1 supercab with bucket seats within 100 miles of Phoenix. (it's a white 2WD). Scroll down thru the selection options till you get to the keyword search; I used "bucket" in the specific keyword. "captain" might work as well.
As mentioned above, MOST of the captain's chairs are going to come in the Crew Cabs. Unless you have garaging restrictions, you MIGHT think about a crewcab... Had I to do it over again, I'd SERIOUSLY consider one; I didn't think I had a "crew" to haul when I bought mine... I found out later, that I did.
All good information. I didn't think about changing the seats but if a really good deal on a non-captain's chair type truck comes along it may be worth considering. Looking in another city like nearby Phoenix might also be a good idea. At first glance it looks like most of the trucks for sale there are crew cabs. That got me to thinking if some areas are more likely to have a certain configuration of truck. For example, it's really obvious by looking at the inventory of new Ford Superdutys in the El Centro, Ca area, which is mostly agricultural, that many are basic XLs.
