Door tag decode
#17
The 1980 and newer parts catalogs don't go into as much detail inre to upholstery as the older versions do.
Is there any vinyl on the door panels?
The second letter of the tu-tone paint color code seems to be an N, which would indicate silver, but the pic is a bit fuzzy.
And as I said earlier, my eyes are 65 years old...the lenses were R&R'd in the 1990's after having cataracts removed, but....
btw: WOW...you've racked up a lotta posts in the three months you've been a member.
At this rate...you may pass the FTE member who has the record for most posts typed in a single year. I'm not sayin' who that is, mebbe you can guess.

Had a bunch of jokes I put on Pa.'s page . Cell phone doesn't take best pictures, thinking about buying a camera one of these days. Waiting till I get the finances available ( I know on sale only $50.00 ). Thanks for all the help, door panels have cloth / material also, XLT Lariat model ( top of the line if I remember right ).
Remember something you said in a different post about this brass gear below the key cyl, and the flat bearing and snap ring.
Would you have a picture of that thing in place? Replaced key cyl (old one was hanging up even after removal). New one works better, still not " springing back " all the time.

The Ford truck parts catalogs I use after 1972 are all on microfiche, which means I haven't a ghost of a chance of scanning and posting the pic.
Your local Ford Dealer will have the same pics as I do, so you could go there and look, or...
You could also contact FTE sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM aka Y2KFORDPARTS.COM (FTE member name: y2kford parts) and ask Ed to fax or email you the picture.
This is a free service. All the dealers have the parts catalogs on CD's, so scanning and posting pics is EZ.

Yes, I have a picture of the steering column that shows the entire setup, but...
